NWRA: RE-BUILDING BETTER AND BIGGER
The re-branding process of the North-West Region is steadily on the move with re-habilitation and construction projects being carried out in all the seven Divisions of the Region. To understand more on the Regional Assembly's projects package, it is crucial to first and foremost understand the program areas of the North-West Regional Assembly, because they constitute the basis on which every project activity or action is realized. As a matter of fact, competences have been devolved by six ministerial departments through which their activities run on four programs which are:
- Program 1: Improving the Provision of Basic Social Services,
- Program 2: Promotion of Economic Development and Environmental Protection of the Region
- Program 3: Promotion of Citizenship, Culture, Sports and Youth Support and
- Program 4: Governance and Local Administration.
As at Mid-Term mandate in June 2023, the North-West Regional Assembly had programmed a total of sixty-six projects with 11 being feasibility studies, 16 new constructions, 24 rehabilitations, three project controls, five equipment supply projects and seven for other works; making up the sixty-six projects.
To track the progress of number of projects executed per year, we have a total of 07 projects executed in 2021, 22 projects executed in 2022 and 37 for 2023, giving that total of 66 projects.
